Modern Vespa

I have just replaced the ecu because the lilt lock would not function.
Put the new ecu in, now tilt lock went off and now it won’t engage.
The red light is on and the motor starts. When I turn on the ignition the yellow light does not come on only the red light. I’ve pulled the switch apart all good it appeArs. Cleaned all the sensors. It’s rideable but I would like the tilt lock to work.. I’m 70 and it is very handy.
Any help appreciated.

All I can advise you is to take it to a dealer, and it will be worth the investment. You already changed the ecu and that is not cheap for sure, it may not required that, so for critical aspects it is better to let the dealer look at it instead of trying to fix the complicated issues, as it may cost you more. I am waiting ona new switch and pressure sensor. I would have taken it to a dealer but it is 400 ks away and the bike cannot be ridden.

My tilt lock won't work either. The light is blinking. Any ideas or other threads out there to look at? My ABS sensor and wire are ripped is the tilt lock tied in with that somehow?

Tilt lock is speed & rpm sensitive, one tone ring being disconnected, is probably going to keep the lock from working

One tone on when the tilt lock comes. It's just a short tone one beep
Coming from the tilt ecu. Does that suggest a speed sensor fault?
I assumed it was just a start up tone.

I have checked the wires to the speed sensors all good, however I removed the sensors and found one with filings and the other with out however the actual sensor had a gouge through it . I've ordered another sensor. Because the sensor did not have anything on the magnet it maybe that the magnet was not working. Here's hoping.

Hi, its a old post but just want to help the community.

I had the infamous tilt lock problem: "harness cable" broken somehere between the speed sensor and the ECU.
Everthing was working fine, engine, sensors cleaned and new battery, brakes ans fuses where ok, fluids ok, everything was working fine

Scooter behavior: (Mp3 500ie Sport ABS-ASR 2017 with 33000Kms)
I turn the key on, start the engine, unblock the tilt lock, ride a few meters on slow speed, the tilt lock red light blinks, the orange light goes off, and I can´t lock again. Stop the bike press the tilt-lock button, does nothing. No beeps, no warning lights nothing. I could ride the bike, everything was ok, except I wont be able to lock the system again.
Restart the bike (key to off position, and on again) orange light blinks normally, and tilt lock works fine, until I ride normally again.
Speak with the dealer, they said "harness cable"(ref: 2D000066) broken.
Had to buy a new one: 370€ complete harness cable with ABS sensor and work hours(2h) included.

I am also having a tilt lock issue and the repair shop has been dealing with it for few months already.
I was just wondering does someone know whats the price range for a new or a used ECU for Piaggio mp3 125cc (2017) ?
