The Sonoran Sunriders Scooter Club went on a picnic ride out to Bartlett Lake northeast of Phoenix. It was a very gusty day and one member had a hard time staying upright on her little Bintelli Scorch. The riding portion of this video was taken after my husband and I decided to hang back a few minutes at the end of the ride. We had a nice time playing catch-up. Properly spirited, it was.

Wind is scary sometimes. Many years ago I had the original crate scooter out on a very windy day. I was tooling along next to the centerline when a big gust of wind hit me. In an instant I was on the shoulder of the road. It certainly took me by surprise.

On one of our rides, a Honda Helix was blown across two lanes of traffic by a dust devil. I was right next to her, and it buffeted me only for a moment.
