hi all im new here so I hope I'm not repeating adnausium but heres the problem I started the scooter it fired right up as always I didn't wait for the bike to warm up but theres a very long driveway and youre forced to do under 15 miles an hour I stop to take a right and it felt like it was sputtering like running out of gas but that was NOT the issue I had a half tank of good clean 93 so I had to push it all the way back in grueling heat but I made it not bad all up a 65 deg grade..anyhow I tried to start it w a battery pack not a very goog one but it has always worked I finally got that to work and i tried to start it it was spinning like it was just out of gas I cleaned the battery terminal not dirty but the connection was a tad weak..but mind you it was running when this all happened well it finally kicked over and it seems like the issue has passed but since I have no idea what caused this I was hoping someone else had this sputtering then dying and not restarting for 20 mins...my question is it bc I upset the carbs warm up sequence by driving only 3 secsa after its first start in two days? I dunno im lost thanks for any response to this dissertation I feel i must appologise for..kenny

Have you given your carburetor a good cleaning? Might be full of crud or rubber parts long dead.

thank you as yet I have not ridiculously enough especially for a guy who actually rebuilt carbs for a living back in the 80's just prior to cfi that was once a highly specialized set of skills garages used to farm out all of their carbs to us and we'd make them brand new thanks for the reminder yes I'll bet you're right off I go!! ty
