black would look sick, but I'm actually kinda digging the red. it's just off enough of "resale red" and it sort of breaks up the lines.

either way, I wouldn't be ashamed to rock that on a ride. it looks choice.

yes. yes it is.

my body no longer requires sleep. it runs solely on tacos, vodka, red bull and malt liquor.

all kidding aside, I work odd hours.

What, Like 03:00 - 04:00 then an hours sleep, then back to work at 05:00 for another hour.

Why did you choose odd rather than even?

something like that.

the choice was made for me, the die cast before I knew. such is my burden.

Just catching up here. I like the fresh looks here, guard rails and all. The black and anthracite remind me of my ratty Cosa and my P200 is a two-tone beauty In Greek colors of white and blue. But I would not paint those cowls! OK, a THREE-tone paint job may get you scorned or worse in some company... Facepalm emoticon ROFL emoticon .

A nice two-tone paint job would look fine I guess , but IMO that nice red says you made it that way and after all " It's that whole scooters are built not bought thing going on." and you'll lose some of that w/ a perfect paint job. Besides, if you get a small ding or scratch it's no big deal, just more history. Spend your money and time on some other extra extravagance you want.

anyone have one of these Faco front racks? Greasy sold me one but it's missing the threaded rods. Just looking for basic detail - how long are the rods, what size thread, etc. Is it just a 90 degree bend, and how long after the bend? I think these can be fabbed, with just a few dimensions.

Looks like you could set it in place, use a stiff piece of wire from a metal coat hanger and make a template. I would be tempted to use all thread for part. Problem would be threads would chew up leg shield. Would need something to cover up hook to prevent that. maybe cut all thread to length chuck it up in a drill or drill press if you have one and use a file to remove threads?

That's really a question for Greasy, but given what he said about my rims, I'm going to go with "eventually." Now we're debating the definition of "eventually."

Could you line the inside of the rim with a strip of old inner tube like on a bicycle tire to protect from the spokes?

It's not a huge deal, he threw in some rims in the pile from this weekend. Just wondering if this might still make a suitable spare or not.

I'd run it as a spare, just don't forget that once it's on the ground, you're going to need a spare spare sooner than later. Razz emoticon

Rack hardware I think can be ordered. If fabbing, get solid rod, m6 cutting die, and cut threads only where needed. Clean and tidy that way. All thread will cut thru shrinkwrap and then all bets are off on your legshield beading
