Sigh, this is my advice : Not too late to cancel that order and use your dough to get a new stock mudguard instead of that cutdown fender, then you could remove the legshield chrome guards to be offered in as an extra for free. Maybe rack as well for a nice clean presentation(tell them how easy it is to install)? You're targeting a small 80's mod revival slice of an already small niche market. A good looking stock bike will just sell more easily IMO, and am I getting Deja Vu here ???
But Good luck however you go. This is compelling: 1986 PX125E euro version. Compared to the earlier US market P125X, it has a fuel gauge, improved front braking, easier to shift and more robust EFL gearbox, and a larger glovebox. Side cowls are removed by lockable under-seat levers for better security. ![]() This not so much: This scooter has a custom cut front fender, crash bars, and chrome rack to round out an 80's mod revival look. |

OK, so original was a 0 and next tolerance is A (up to D) usually to make up for a bit of wear. Normally you should order a 0 but A should probably be fine…

What comes should be standard, the A is bent so it's going nowhere. Every dent has a high side somewhere, and that means seizing to me.

Even standard, they're still graded from 0 to D to match the tolerances of the cylinder, since they're never the same coming out the boring machine…

For jetting - with the Malossi 166 and a Sito Plus I'm thinking to start at 120 for a main jet and leave the rest alone, does that sound reasonable? I think they used to give a 115 main jet in there for the 20.20 carb, which I'm using. I also have the drilled filter.
The rotary port and transfers will not be opened up. I know, I know, but I'm not going down that rabbit hole with a bike that will be sold. |

If I had 4 motorcycle parking spaces, it would likely be a keeper. A PX is a workhorse, always a useful thing. But looking at it realistically, I ride modern more than vintage in my regular routine due to speeds. Thus the current allocation of 2 moderns and 1 vintage. If it's fun then the VBB project will continue piece by piece until at some point I have to put it together.

I'm hoping that it doesn't take as long as your:
-Rally 180 -Wheelie Super -Lambretta -ET4 -etc ![]() I can keep at it with all sorts of ways to make my build shorter when it comes time though. Next items that can be done: -fork rebuild -bench seat tear repair -rearrange my loft so the frame is out front, then bring it down for work as needed on surface rust with fast etch & owatrol oil as a weekend project -bring it down again and cable / wire it -electrical shakedown by use of power supply |

New piston is an A also. Ring gaps are 0.013" and piston to bore as measured with a feeler gauge is 0.006", which is probably on the loose side, if my Lambretta Sticky manual can be used to judge.

it's too loose, let's face it. Mjrally has a honed one with fresh piston ready to go, I will pick that up and get this one bored out to first over for a later build.

Those cowls came out good. My Polini kit rattled a lot when cold…a little less when warm. The VMC seems much tighter and just chuffs along. The piston to cylinder clearance on the 200 is .008-.009" (I think) according to the Haynes manual, which seems yuge.
