what gauge do you think i can get away with on the tail lamp / brake lamp - 18?
I'm using bundled 20ga for the Boo-Badge's harness and it's been working fine.

I'd keep working on cleaning out the tube. It's a cool feature to protect the wiring. On my GL I blew compressed air thru it. A dirt clod and some weeds flew out.
I fished the wires thru by soldering the ends to a single strand of 12 or 14 gauge, then unsoldering them once they were through.

I love the solder idea - if the leads seemed long enough I'd do it for sure. |

This should help. Top one is intermittent and bottom is continuous. If you can't read it I can email or text you the pics.

We have an avionics shop at my work and we use special pretinned wire. The insulation is really good stuff and runs thinner diameter than same sized automotive stuff. If you need a bigger size wire but won't fit in your tube I can measure mine to see if it works and send you some if need be. I'm making custom wiring harnesses for both my scoots.

I'm building my next scooter mercato cart.
Are all largeframe shocks the same? I thought it would be different between 8" and 10" wheels but I see some cross-listed as working on all. The motor is a 70's Bajaj sprint 2 port motor. (geared for 8" now). |

They're not necessarily the same, but there's more overlap than I'd have expected. I have the same front shock (BGM) on my sprint, GL, and VBB and it's been great on all three.

ok so it seems the column lock won't install from the top side with the bearing race on.
can I sneak it up the tunnel from the bottom race into the hole? I'm hoping so. was watching this video for reference, but I had already tried and saw it wouldn't feed from the top: |

Running cables
Do the gear cables, clutch, and rear brake come out of this frame hole? Of course there was a cable end in the choke tube and even after getting it out, had to dremel the inside to get a new choke cable to fit in there. The shrink wrap was a scooterwest tip
These 4 here??
Always one left in there, or more…

Fancy new drill bit to make a hole the size of the fuel tap so I can use one of those grommets. It's like $45, kind of nutty.

I have to remember the condition of my frame and keep it in perspective. Probably will just use a bit of black acrylic and a brush out of my wife's artist stash to hide it. At least it won't rust!
