Yeah the 2 port cast iron pinasco. Tried and true.

I also had him get one of my Malossi 166 kits punched out to first over with his machinist. Rainy day cylinder just in case that Stella motor goes into a bike.

I was going to describe how to ride on 8's on your other post...
Not sure how I can describe it!
It's a body thing.

Wonderful, once your body sorts it over time.
A bench seat certainly helps in this regard.

Scooter Meracto is carrying these SIP tires at a good rate, but I don't know what to think of them. Anyone tried them? I just want a good basic tire, not looking to race or anything.

I haven't tried those, but I do like that the tread wraps around a fair amount. I'm running the Heindeau K75s and they are deluxe for my style of riding.

I have them on Bear. They're not the worst tires ever. Better handling than the Michelin s83's

I'm with Scott ... I've tried a bunch of 8" tires and the Heidi K-75 is by far the best. M-rated, super grippy, decent wear.

Plus, it's taller than other 8" tires, which means it effectively acts as an upgear.

It could be your ticket to plaid.

I'd get those.
Got them for my smallie. Hard to compare them to the BGM's since it's a very different bike. Definitely superior to the S83's, though.

Tearing down for the pinasco. My weird oil leak persists. It's at the cylinder base but there is no sign of oil on the base packer. My best guess is the case seam isn't flush? I looked at the possibility of a leak out through the case bolt. But when I pulled the bolt, the shaft was dry.

There's oil pooled at the base of the stator area as well. Not sure if it's just the upper leak landing here. There's no trail from the fly side seal, that looks clean. If it's not the upper lip, then maybe the little cup that holds the tree end?

Holding while I think and await advice from the hiveā€¦.

The good news is I can ditch the 1.5mm packer that may be causing issues. With just a regular gasket, squish is 2.3mm on the Pinasco. So at least I can eliminate one possibly problematic item.

The lower right bolt under the stator looks more gear oil covered than the others. Had those bolts leak oil before.

That case plug looks like it's jizzing. I'd seal that with some goo. Did you put any sealant under those nuts and washers for the case bolts that are in the stator area? I did that for my GS as extra precaution.

20 minutes at 10 psi, no drop.

As usual, more time spent chasing tester leaks than anything else.

Rusted my fancy new cylinder with my soapy water.

I will add RTV to that plug near the stator.

Yeah, when the test equipment is the problem, it's so frustrating. That's been my life the past two days.

Once the only leak I was finding today was on my tester, though, I decided to just go for it. Based on how it's running, though, I think I'm in good shape.

I haven't leak tested my last few builds.
Yeah, I know.

Lazy. But if it doesn't run right on known good jetting it's the same result.

Something that comes out easy! The gasket will be sealed between the stud and the crank (passes pressure test) but the ring of gasket, on the outside of the stud, on the gearbox side will be leaking. Will last with sealer to the next split.

That case bolt looks bent. Wonder if that has anything to do with your leak.

That picture is a trip! I zoomed up and part of it looking bent is the fact that the cables are behind it. Another part is the junk on the bolt. At any rate, if it were as bent as it looks in the picture, it wouldn't slide in easily, but it does. It looked fine in person.
