I am planning on attending for at least a day but it’s still uncertain if I will bring my scooter.

I will be there for all the events and rides. I will be bringing my 1962 Vespa GS160 (original paint). The rides are not too fast so any decent vintage Vespa that can do a reliable 40-45 mph should be fine for even the longer rides. If you want to bring one for the show I believe you should pre register that Vespa online, but then I am not 100% sure on this one.

This should be a fun event free of GTS riders that haven't a clue about the history of the Vespa or any of the iconic scooters Piaggio made that earned the company world wide favor. I would also like to see more diversity represented at this vintage Vespa event, so please do come and bring your ride.

Hope to see you there.

That is a bit of a walk. I don't do the East coast rides either. They are just too far, although I hear there are some very nice ones that take place. The Lambretta Jamboree is is Florida this year and while I would love to attend, it is as far away (State-wise) as it can be from me.

For those that can make it, the rally will feature some of the great riding available in the coastal region south of San Francisco. I used to live in the city and love riding in the area the rally will be held. It is definitely worth attending if distance permits.

I wouldnt be so sure of the "GTS" riders as VCLG is full of them. Are there any event times etc.?? If you plan on riding to the concours the road up there can be a challenge for the less skilled and the other way is partially a mountain highway that would be a death wish to low powered scoots.

I am aware that several local riders do have GTS model Vespa, so point taken as far as the knowledge of the Vespa line is concerned, but this is a vintage only ride, so there should be none in attendance. If there are, it will be my first, and last year attending. I can ride with GTS riders in Seattle any day of the week and have no need to travel for that.

Nice to know about the challenging roads. They are my favorite and I have plenty of experience riding some really tough routes our highway system has to offer. Mostly people should ride within their skill/comfort level and they should be fine. This is not a race after all. Hope to see lots of vintage Vespa there and let's have a good time riding together.

I’m glad to hear about the road to the show. I had no idea that the show was somewhere else. I do ride my 52 Allstate, but never had it on a challenging ride. Hell it only goes 45mph on flat ground not to mention hills….I think I will keep it on the trailer.

That 52' is a real beauty. I hope to see it a VVD's and many of the rides are designated slow rides, so you should have little trouble riding on these rides. I know the ride the vineyard where the show will take place is going to be the slow ride, not the fast option previously listed. Even riding to the show should work from what I have gathered going over this with Josh.

Did you see my answer above to the itinerary inquiry above? As for more scooters, how can that be bad. More scooters is more scooters, and that can only be good. I would love to see what you've got.

I'd love to go to this event - but I won't be able to. Please take lots of pictures for me / us!

I was planning on it the first time, before Covid changed everyone's plans.

David from ScooterMercato was going to come out - I was going to loan him one of my scooters for the weekend.

What's the saying? All great plans of mice and men? And the world keeps spinning...

What happened to keep you from the reboot VVD's? My wife and I will be driving down from Seattle so we be passing you on our way (most likely). Is there anything we can do to help?

Mainly scheduling and life in general. I didn't even know it was happening until this thread, and by then, we can't rearrange stuff to make it happen.

Thank you though for the kind offer! That's really cool of you!!!

I am a big fan of more vintage scooters(scooterists) at these events, so any time I can help, I am happy to do so. Maybe see you at Run from the Sun in September. it is local(ish) so should be easier to attend.

I'm going to that! It's essentially 65 miles up the coast from our house. I should say, I'll definitely be there for the ride(s) on Saturday. It'll be great to meet you!

Where you at the Oregon 100 this year or last? If so, you met me then. I had the red T5. I will be bringing my original paint 62' GS160 to VVD's and am undecided as to which scooter to bring to Run from the Sun. I am leaning towards my original paint US model SS180 if I can get it up and running right.

1. I am in OC, far from Los Gatos BUT I would be happy to store said scoot.
2. I am driving to Dallas in September to bring my Range Rover out and may be able to haul it back to you if the timing works.

That's one of my rides and this year's Oregon 100 was a good one. Hope you can make next year's as Joe and the TDC guys and girls put on a great rally. My wife and I love making the trip down and plan on being there next year as well.
