Where are the fuses on an '07 BV 500 - I found the ones in the glove box but I think there must be others someplace.

there is 30 amp fuse mounted on the starter relay. its only for the starter and separate from fuse panel.

It is NOT only for the starter. It's the fuse between the regulator and the battery, just like the MP3 500s. Known as the 'hidden' fuse, it can cause dead battery problems. The circuit diagram is correct.

If it was between the battery and the starter, it'd blow every other time you tried to start...

Jerry is quite correct for the BV 500 (and the BV 350).

My apologies.

That won't be his immediate problem though. The bike will start and run for hours after that fuse has blown. It's just that the battery won't charge.

So not agreed that he really needs to know. It may be useful knowledge in the future of course.

Jerry is correct - I was wrong.

I just took these pictures of my bv350. when I pull the 30amp fuse and plug harness back in. the bike doesnt start. and the gauge lights no longer work.

I dont know if the 500 here has the same setup. but my honda helix/silverwing and yamaha majesty all have the same setup for the starter relay

You're right - my apologies - I was looking at the wrong diagram. What I proposed is only applicable to the MP3.

So yes, check that 30A fuse!

I'll go back and edit my previous posts.

Hopefully his problem is this fuse or the battery itself. beyond that its gonna get thoroughly difficult to diagnose over the internet.
