went shopping ..two mile trip ..96 deg. weather well I got home and parked in garage shut it off and POP the bottom hose came off and out came the coolant. the hose clamp was still on... I did notice at stop signs the fan came on then off. I wasnt a wear of the coolant function (D) on the instrument panel...shame on me will pay more attention in the future...I got me a hose clamp not the kind you crimp. what Id like to ask is where on the MP3 250 is the access to add new coolant ? ..my plan is to add coolant and ride it to a dealer to see if the cooling system is bad and or find out why the hose pooped off. thanks .....another Hot day in Minnesota. Hi lameduck69! A belated but hearty welcome to Modern Vespa from San Diego.
I was riding a GTS300 WOT through exceedingly hot temps in Arizona in May 201 when my coolant hose clamp failed. I sent a pic to my trusted mechanic who replied that the clamp has a reputation for failure. I replaced it and had no further issue.
I don't know if the same is true for the MP3 clamps, though.
