Yesterday, I found this part in my driveway. I do not know what it is but I'm worried that it may have fallen off my 2021 Vespa Gts 300 Hpe. Please let me know if this is a Vespa part. Thank you.

That looks like a rubber “bumper” of some kind, possibly off your suspension. I wouldn’t ride until I found out where it came from.

At first glance that doesn't look like a metric bolt - but as you've given no clue as to scale it's impossible to say.
If not metric, not Vespa. |

That looks suspiciously not vespa.
Maybe from a roof rack or bike carrier on a car? Heck, even a lawnmower? |

Is the black tube rubber or metal? Looks like some kind of rubber from here, but can’t tell for certain.
By any chance does it have a threaded hole in the head of the bolt, where a smaller bolt could be attached? |

Some really good sleuthing in this thread! I'm glad you are all on my team!!
I occasionally find bolts and parts on my garage floor and its always a chore to figure out what it came from. Since I do virtually everything on my machines (motorcycle, bicycles, woodchipper, pressure washer, three different power saws, small tractor, electrical, plumbing, gas,..., there's always some mystery part. (Today, I'm fixing my gas furnace. I'm almost positive its the gas valve and I hope I don't end up with any mystery parts at the end of it.) Thumbs up to all. Miguel |

That’s exactly what I was thinking!
jess wrote: That's what I'm thinking. Looks a bit like it might be an expansion anchor for a windshield mount. If there's a threaded hole in the top of the bolt, that would make sense. |

Though now that I think about it, even if there isn't a threaded hole in the top of the large bolt, it could still be an anchor -- just flipped around from the direction I was mentally envisioning it. The bolt head could be up inside the headset, with a barrel connector attached to the end of the exposed bolt.
But, dunno. OP: Was there ever a windshield on this bike? |

In sailboat racing it is considered dirty but amusing to hurl a random fastener at a competitor's sail while in close quarters. The part soon falls into the cockpit with a clunk, making the crew wonder if the boat is falling apart. Usually, just a nut will suffice, but one old salt I knew collected broken fasteners from his car repair shop in a jar, for extra drama.
Do you have a nemesis trying to mess with your head by tossing random hardware into your driveway? It seems to be working!

One way to know would be to see if you can tighten/loosen the windshield mount on both sides. If one side is filled with air, then you'll know.

And what would robot have to do with anything? if its not that and it fell off the bike it is then most likely from the shipping crate. robot is the man and has likely uncrated more new vespas than anybody in the usa. he does the scooter west videos from the largest vespa dealer in the usa. I thought everyone on here would know who robot was. |

We know who robot is - but why FFS do you think that item came from a shipping crate? In some random member's driveway? Where would it go in a shipping crate? And do you mean a Vespa shipping crate or something else?

I asked matt Damon, whatever I’m in LA and he’s a friend of a friend.
He said I don’t think it’s vespa and to please stop texting him. That is all.
