This is on a 2012 GTS 300 that was bought used, so I do not know the history. The bottom screw was missing on the handlebar cover with the headlight and the screw to fasten the covers on the throttle side was missing also.

I cannot get the covers to come together on the throttle side as there seems to be interference from the bottom throttle cable. It seems like it should routed so it is not hitting the nut for the brake lever. See pics.

Is that correct? If so, can I bend the throttle cable tube to eliminate the interference?

Thanks in advance.

Lostboater has had the same problem on one of his.

But I don’t think he ever got it sorted.

A long zip tie keeps Rocket’s two pieces together.

And looks really cool too.

It can be a right bugger getting the front bit back in place all snugged up. You need the right phase of the moon and everything...

Are you able to rotate the brake master/lever up a little to give more clearance for the throttle cable?

Tried that not really able to make any change as the top cable is against the top of the brake handle
