I thought today would be a nice day to get out for a mid winter ride.
Easy decision when the alternative is to spend the day putting away the Christmas decorations. They can wait another week I think.

I scooted down to the lake and found Aunt Bessie out for a pedal. Good on her.

After that I went to see uncle Frank. He doesn't know how to ride a real bike so has one of these. Poor fellow. Hasn't been the same since his wife ran off with that bicycle salesman.

Frank has been developing a secret cannonball weapon. The triple battery. Normal batteries have a positive and a negative terminal, this one has a supplementary indifferent terminal. This battery should solve many problems, most of them ones you didn't know you had.

I had a formal errand for the afternoon so spent some time polishing the windscreen until it looked like glass. Some bugs will be along momentarily.

I had to pick up some parts for the bodge I am building, so went to see the local Vicar who get bootleg parts sent out from the Vatican, hidden in barrels of holy water.
External inline image provided by member with no explanatory text

Often the parts arrive rusty but this swingarm look OK.

Being a holy man the Vicar rides a Hodna of course.

He has this helmet which was left in the Church by a jilted bride.

Back home to my patiently waiting frame.

Most of the evening was spent pondering side stand knobs. Now about those Christmas decorations....

A bit more exciting than my adventure today. Just a casual 200km round trip to buy a chunky steak and pepper meal wrapped in pastry. I recklessly had chosen a bakery in the country even though i live in a big city. It did of course involve a few mountain roads but that's a price I'm more than willing to bare 🛵

I have never had the chance to enjoy this combo, but it sounds awesome.

Not directly, no. The forum does automatically change pie to cupcake. The reasons are... largely historical.

A great pleasure reading your escapades and it is amusing to boot. My adventures are boring & dull as they involve running errands and or going to work in this city with crappy roads .

You know, I reckon anyone could have a day that was just as exciting as mine. Maybe even more exciting.

Sure, but when your Vespa adventures are of the mundane kind then they are not adventures as such.
For some of us, the Vespa is a means to get from point A to point B in the most efficient way.
I think if I lived in some other place other than NYC or away from large metropolitan centers like London/Paris/Chicago etc then I do believe one could have really good adventures on a daily basis.
Getting out of large urban centers isn't always that smooth or easy.
I have been watching a series on ITV ( on my laptop)called Motorbike show with Henry Cole. I watch it for the various trips he takes around Europe. This year is the 10 season and it is riding through Britain and it is wonderful to see how gorgeous the roads are and riding through villages and towns. Unfortunately the U.S. doesn't have that kind of riding for one reason, here we have lot of land and so places are spread out and not many villages/towns exist in the way they do in Europe ( possibly NZ too), i.e. quaint in some ways. One of the best adventures I had riding a PTW was going from Dana Point in Southern California all the way up to Seattle, got to go through small townships dotting the coast.
I will enjoy reading about your adventures, one of the benefits of being on the forum is to read/view the adventures and joys others have on their Vespa (shared generously on here) and to be part of the tribe.
Now I am off to checkout Assisted living facilities in Manhattan and Brooklyn (Watermark) for a neighbor who is going to have to move into one of them. Thats my adventure for the day.

You forgot the last part of story, where you uploaded all those pictures somewhere but can’t remember where, then deleted them from your computer and wish you can remember where to recover them.

Jolly well-done, znomit…but I must say the only Vicar I know of on two wheels pilots a Beezer, supposedly the Deity's own mount (never mind the Harley).
He does a bit of co-detective work on the side, I hear.
