This may be a silly topic. But, thought I'd tap into the brains of people here. I am looking for a way to hold a 2-piece fishing rod on my bike that is both sturdy and removable. Some magnetic solutions for cars out there are usually large and hold 4 rods. I just need something to roll out to the creek with on a Sunday morning. Having a rod hanging out of a backpack makes me a bit queasy. A compact break down rod is another option but, I'd prefer to use what I have. Gear is handled by my rear rack so no issues there.

Pvc tube mounted to a rear rack, like how they hold poles off the back of the boat so your poles at sticking out vertically behind you like you are waiting for some bites. Or pvc tube mounted horizontally along the side of the scooter so your poles are mostly inside the tube and probably the full length of your scooter. Kinda like that surf board mount I've seen on a Vespa.

Great question. I was thinking about this just yesterday as I was cruising along side the beach.
I like the idea of the pvc tube!

PVC may be the way to go. A lot of good fishing around here. Running the scoot out seems much more fun than hauling gear in the cage.

I’ve done it when I had a rack.
Milk crate with pvc or rod holders that you buy at academy etc... |

I keep my poles in travel tubes (I guess that's what they're called) one is a break down rod that's multi piece and basically fits in a backpack with the tube. the other tube is expandable for different lengths and easily takes a two piece rod.
either would lash up to a milk crate or rear rack with some zip ties or good velcro strips. run it like an antenna!

My favorite is my 1 piece ugly stick. Mainly because i pulled it up from the bottom of Lake Travis. Hooked it and thought I caught a fish. Otherwise, I got skunked that day. Besides bluegills.
