hello. read some old posts about the red oil pressure warning light coming and staying on. I have a 2007 GTV 250 with the same problem. Fortunately it came on at the end of my short but hot ride. checked the oil level which is fine. One poster said to check the wire lead to the oil pressure sender. can someone directly me to that wire. Scooter only has 3500 miles and has been carefully maintained at vespa dealer. before i truck it to dealer i was hoping it's something simple. thanks. anything else to check ?

This is what you're looking for. Right above the oil filter pull the black rubber boot off and check the connections. I've had two of these go bad but I have four scooters. I think they're less than $20. They're really easy to replace. Just put a socket on it pull it out put the new one in. There's no oil that will come out through the hole when you pull the sensor. The hard part is getting the wires back on. I usually use needle nose pliers to get them on. There is not very much slack in The wire. Good luck.

well it went exactly as you said, easy to pull off but a pain to put back on. I eventually got it though, and lightly sanded the corrosion off the connection a bit to ensure good contact. the light went out but I'll be taking a further ride to evaluate things. thanks again for the help.

Good job!
The good news is you now know it's not a critical failure inside.
