Are fuel senders repairable? On my pk75 my low fuel amber light comes on when tank low. The fuel guage flies about all over the place and distracting. Are they fixable or serviceable in any way. I can buy a new on for 50 quid but before i do so can they be repaired? thanks in advance.

You can try sanding (polishing?) up the bare wire windings and the metal contact that's located on the floating portion of the arm. Use some fine grit sandpaper. Something like 400 grit would suffice. Sometimes that fill fix fuel gauge issues.

Nice one, thank you for that advice. That will be my day off job next week. Cheers for that. If it doesnt work shall get a new one, but if its fixable save me a good 60 quid.

Also check the float “bubble” for gas in it. They’re usually the ones responsible for the jumping needle…

Before you buy a new one, bear in mind there seem to be 2 different tank types and fuel senders.
