After an unfortunate string of 5 punctures in 8 months on my motorcycle (yes, I'm unlucky), I've gotten in the habit of checking my tires before every ride.

With my motorcycle, I can put it on its center stand, put my hand under the front fork (by the axel), lift up, and the front tire comes off the ground just enough so I can spin it. This makes examining the tire condition / moving the pressure valve to a more convenient position very simple. Tried doing the same thing with my GTS and it's not quite as easy.

Is there a good way of doing this with a Vespa? Or should I just get used to walking it forward a bit and checking the tire that way?

Look for the causes, you can't live with the nightmare of punctured tires.

Using the pet carrier turned upside down works well.

Visual inspection and spray bottle of water. Also if you lost psi
after 3-4 days you have a problem.

Move.

Seriously, get away from the construction site or factory, whichever it is.
