Oh heeeey Modern Vespa people!
Are you tired of not riding your scooter? Are you tired of sensible diets? Are you ready for an endurance challenge that combines riding your scooter with visiting donut shops?
Following the trailblazing 2020 example from South Bay Scooter Posse in San Jose, CA, you have from now through September 12 to ride your scooter to twelve donut shops. Purchase a donut at each shop and take a photo that shows you and your scooter with the exterior of the donut shop and the purchased donut.
This can be done anywhere you are. But I'll be honest: I'm especially hoping for participation in Texas.
The event is designed to be COVID and Delta variant safe, so please practice all of the masky-distancy cootie free stuff we are all supposed to do.* We don't care if you actually eat the donut (but you know you want to) just as long as you purchase it and support your local small businesses while riding your scooter.
You can visit one donut shop a day for twelve days or you can be a hero and do a dazzling dozen all in one day!
Post your 12 photos in this "Modern Vespa" discussion thread and you'll get a "Donut Go Out There ATX" logo sticker. Participants who complete all 12 in one day or a "Baker's Dozen" will earn an extra sticker!
Ride Scooter! Eat Donuts! Have Fun!
