I've carried watermelons, bags of concrete mix, but my favorite was the Christmas tree.

My daughter was complaining about having to catch a ride home and back to campus with her laundry so I sent her a link to the video of the guy with the couch and told her we are bringing laundry there and back on the scooter!

I have posted this before on another thread, and maybe not that unusual, but here is another cat litter haul....along with a bag of groceries.

not that strange for me but certainly one of the best things to care on my scoot; a case of black beer 🍺

There's a story behind Black Beer.
They used to make a rather tasty Dopplebock they called "Winter Ale". They were taken to task over it because it was a lager not an ale. About that time the main beer awards in NZ changed their criteria adding in a stipulation that a beer name reflect what is actually is. The main target was probably Tui which is a popular NZ lager billed as East India Pale ale for unknown reasons. They changed the Dopplebock recipe soon after and Black Beer was born. It is tasty. |

I couldn't pass on these two wood frame folding canvas patio chairs today (marked "free" on the roadside). I had just enough straps.
Ironically I'd just disposed of our old ones, thinking I'd never find replacement canvases. The 1-mile trip home was ok, just didn't lean too far on left turns. The load

I saw that first picture and I thought you'd found a new alternative to crash bars to protect the body sides.
Well done on the find and for having the foresight to carry around luggage straps with you. |

As we head towards Spring, a young man's mind tends to think about sowing his wild oats, cucumbers and tomatoes. But before that happens the garden soil should be enriched with organic matter, that means a visit to the local stables.
There are about 10 stables adjacent to the Morphettville racecourse, when they are cleaned each day the poo-poo is bagged and left on the footpath/sidewalk for the public to collect. My scoot will only fit one bag so I'll be back. |

On a Suzuki FA50... complete straight 6 Ford head... i put it on the seat & sat on it.
Also on FA50... 20kg bag of something Both were for about 15km on open road! A large panel heater (across feet/knees), actually rather difficult! Many bags of groceries (2 or 3 each handlebar, whole floor full , rear rack & tied together under seat!) Anything that needs to be carried. Essentials only!

1969, in medic training, San Antonio TX....on PFC wages.. wife and I had a Honda CB 350. Wife carried the groceries on her lap. But I had to leave her home to strap the 6' live-cut Xmas tree across the back.
(loved that bike...but sold it when my orders for 'Nam finally arrived. Wife went home to her parents on the Santa Fe Chief ~!) O.S. |

I lashed a new set of golf clubs (in the box) to the back of my (sold) GT 200. In Tokyo, my room mate and I picked up a used small refrigerator - we call them a dorm fridge here. It sat between us on his Kawasaki 750. The police pulled us over . . . to take a photo!

The hardest to handle, for me, were a few loose golf clubs for a scooter scavenger hunt, and a rake and battery powered blower with battery powered weed whacker. If I'd only thought to tie them all together...
