Taking my wife's MP3 400 in for a belt replacement next week (6000 mi.). This dealer doesn't have much experience working with MP3s, mostly smaller standard scooters. Is there anything extra or special that we need to tell him about MP3s that might make sure that they do this job right?

Also, is there anything else that they should check in the drive train while they have it opened up to see if there are any problems? Thanks.

Sounds like you need to check with him that he has the variator holding tool - it's a big no-no in my book to use the rattle-gun when doing up the variator nut. The crankshaft would be expensive to replace...
