Before I roll it out I'll grease the exposed parts of the cables and shifter box.
I'm using the same SIP PFTE lined outers with stainless inners I have had on my 64 smallframe over the last 3 years and they are still as smooth as new.
The reality is at 77 I don't put a lot of miles on them. Just try to keep riding regularly.
Teflon lined outers won't benefit by having greased cables. Light oil, maybe.

Did notice the dry shifter box. No need to slob grease there either with the stainless cables you're running. I'd just grease the roller and the pivot.
Just an anecdotal $.02

Really admire this build, V1 cases and all. Almost wishing we could have a true winter here...

BTW bellows to frame acts as an intake muffler. Also a pretty solid filter, even on dusty roads:

Finally almost finished.
Will roll it out of basement tomorrow fill oil tank, add 1 liter of premix. Prime oil pump, fill with gas and test ride.
Started on it last September so was quicker than both the smallframe projects.
Looking forward to summer rides.

Looking great. What's the starting jetting? With all the changes and new expensive stuff, the one thing for sure is the same old jetting won't be correct now.
If you do a summary of the setup, I'll take a good guess at the jetting.

Great work Exmayor! This thread is a reference for how things should be done right. That Vespa turned fantastic, you surely will enjoy it on years to come.

Thank you for the offer.

As part of the build Matt at Scooter Mercato test rode it to confirm the jetting he put in the new 24.24 carb.

I am at about the same altitude as Mercato so really comfortable with the set up.

I'll send Matt an email and ask him for the jetting. I know he needed to work with it a bit to correct for the Polini venturi and filter.

Bike looks great. I really like the fly screen. I have never seen one of those before. Thanks for posting the link. I may steal some of your ideas too.

Finally on the road. Rides nicely. Pulls from right off of idle. Still breaking in so taking it east for some more miles. Finally had a open road section and wound her up a little in third. Way different performance then my Malossi 136 powered smallie.

Looking really good as I expected, a classy whale I'd say! And apparently a good day for white 200s to visit the beach and soak up some sun!
