Hello, I'm new to this forum.

I have a 2005 Vespa PX150 with electrical problems and can't find out what the issue is. The low beam doesn't work, even though the bulb is fine. The high beam works, but when it's on, the turn lights in the back and the rear light are so dim that they almost don't work, the fuel indicator and some of the lights in the instrument panel stop working.

The stator was replaced two years ago and it has new regulator, high beam relay and starter relay. I checked the wires in the headlight, headlight switch, main connector block, and junction box and they all seem okay.

Any idea what could be the source of the problem?

I would start by grabbing a multimeter & a diagram in order to check the grounds for each of the components that's having issues. Prob a shared ground went bad like near the regulator, in the headset or near the stator. If nothing else was recently changed, the grounds may have rusted or come loose which sometimes can be determined by looking at them but a multimeter continuity test will help more.

Good luck

If you have a lead acid battery, does your multimeters show that it has a full 12.6 volts?

I have a 2005 PX150 and even with a new battery, the turn signals require the engine to be operating above idle to flash. The same is true for proper operation of the brake light and the horn. It is as if the battery only powers the electric starter circuit, and everything else operates as if the scooter had no battery.

Thank you! It turned out that the new high beam relay was defective. It took me a while to figure it out, but now all works fine.
