I was told you need to grind a small area off the case so that a PX fly will can be used on a P 200. Having trouble figuring out exactly where to grind though… Can Anybody give me some guidance on where to file the cases back? Thanks guys!

don't know about that.

Fit the flywheel and rotate. If he it's going to grind on something, you will know.

I did test fit the wheel… and can hear a touch of grinding when torqued in. Cannot make out where it's fouling.

check the heads of the screws. sometimes you have to go to a single, wavy washer.

I've installed 2 PX flywheels on my P2's. It's a straight across swap. The PX flywheel is much lighter weight than the P. I find that it's a great performance gain.

I can't remember if a small portion of the case's shrouding needs to be trimmed or not. If it did, it wasn't consequential.

Little bit of both I think…

Went to one washer as Gick suggested and it helped. Still had the tiniest bit of catch and then filed back the case at about 1pm by the cylinder maybe a mm?

Thanks for the replies folks.

It's likely the stator hold down screws as noted, you need the flattest head you can get and that single washer. I like Phillips pan head, and chuck them in my drill to angle grind the head down flatter if needed, there's still plenty of Phillips slot to drive them.

Is the electric start teeth ring still installed on the flywheel? Itll grind about the 1:30 position of the image you posted. Right where the engine case goes from a circle to a short horizontal line in the picture you provided.

After that, I'd check at the cylinder base. Lastly, stator screws.

This was the ticket along with dropping down to one washer on each stator screw.
