I recently had a scooter stolen and I'm looking for some low-key GPS tracker I can charge occassionally and use in the likely event that this happens again.

Police are pretty much useless on the whole and if any of the interactions I've had with them since reporting this, I don't expect them to lift a finger to find this. Instead, I'll have to be more proactive in the future.

Ideally, something that doesn't require a subscription service and isn't too pricey.

I did some searches and many of the results were from a decade ago.

There's alot of names being thrown around, lo-jack, tile, etc.

Can anyone give me a breakdown of their experience?

Ryan at Fortnine did a thing on motorcycle security a year or so back, I think it included an inexpensive tracker. Worth a look.

You should really display a location in your profile. Questions like this require answers and experiences of others which are somewhat specific to your area in order to be of much use to you.
