Cleaning out a drawer and came across the last of the Fuzzy Washers.
Ten left to be precise.
If you have a 400 or 500 engine you don't know what you're missing without one.
$10 paypal to rezolutionphoto@gmail.com for each washer - postage included.
OR... $50 for the whole shebang.

Hi Bubbajon
Thank you for posting and offering these. Count me interested as I've never hearof these before and have some questions about it. I apologize if these are a bit noobie type but I suspect others new to these would have similar questions.

Are these the washers referenced in this thread?
Fuzzy Washer Performance Mod Explained

from 2012 thread: New Fuzzy Washers

Would these fit the 2016 NAFA 500ie MP3? I presume so as I've read about how the 500cc engine is basically the sams across all variations of Mp3.

The thread mentions draw backs with top end performance loss and the belt may get damaged if it contacts the washer. Have you encountered those issues or was it any real issue?

We would need the Variator holder to install it which is a very specialized tool or would we be able to install it with regular auto-store variety tools?

Hi, I would like to buy one, but PayPal is not cooperating. I tried the email you listed and it says it isn't recognized. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Marty

(wow! I rated my own Wiki entry!!)
That's my paw in the mangled glove.
Yes - these are the original machined washers.

It's more about the variator style than the engine. Best way to check is see if your variator uses the same parts as the MP3 400. If so, you're golden.
The engine more or less determines the optimal Dr Pulley weights to use in conjunction.
Think of the Fuzzy Washer as changing sprocket size to give better revs off the line.

Short answer is no. I think I sold a couple hundred of these and not one report of rubbing belts. It was speculation from naysayers if I recall (that was many moons ago!)
EDIT** The belt rubbing issue was from some members trying to simply double up on the stock washer or trying to use 2 FWs using the "mo iz better" theory .
It's too much and caused problems.
As far as top end - well, I got a ticket for 92mph on the interstate once. Draw your own conclusions

You can get away without the tool - there's a thread somewhere describes how.
That said I bought and used the tool because:
a - makes several maintenance jobs much easier
b - belt changes are every 6,000 miles or so and the cost saved from the dealer doing it buys the tool first time.
c - it's not that expensive

Two other members just contacted me and bought fuzzy washers at that email - had it for over a decade now
Make sure you spell it with a "z".
