Your dealer should have advised you to change it every couple of years. What other great advice have they given you?

Make a coolant change your priority. It's quite easy to do yourself, just make sure you flush the system a couple of times with distilled or de-ionised water and then refill with the correct coolant mixture of ethylene glycol (OAT) to protect your engine against further corrosion.

Sweet bike color, but that coolant looks like shit. I had a similar problem. Once the coolant gets over 2 years old, it isn't too effective at controlling corrosion. Flush it will a bunch of distilled water (or a flush product and distilled water), then do a coolant change with an appropriate OAT coolant. Here's what my coolant looked like after the previous owner let it sit for three years…

I pulled this out of a 2006 Yamaha Morphous. It's an Arizona scooter, and has never been changed. It's supposed to look like lemon lime gatorade. I wonder what treating your engine like this does to the lifespan of the bike?

The coolant came out of my bike like that on the first service after I purchased it. It's a good example of why one should change coolant per the maintenance schedule. It does more than just keep the engine cool.
