Is there a better seat to get for a 2016 MP3 500 than the stock seat and if so where?

I have the Piaggio gel saddle on my 2016 500 and I could not be happier. 100 miles on the stock saddle was torture, but I have done 400+ mile days on the gel with no discomfort.

Online, but I don't remember where. They are available from several sites. Pricey, but I think worth it.

Vespa Motorsport sells the Piaggio gel saddle AFAIK.

I also use the same saddle and could not be happier, BUT IMO swapping out the rear shocks for some Bitubos gives a bigger return on investment. The stock rear shocks are simply put "utter garbage".

I use the Bitubos that were manufactured for and sold only by Piaggio.

Unfortunately, in Piaggio's continual lack of wisdom they have already discontinued the brown version of the gel saddle. Ditto on the bespoke version of the Bitubo shocks with oil reservoir.

Vespa Motorsport still has a brown gel saddle in stock, so get one while it lasts.

Don't know if the black version has been axed as well.

Find a local upholstery shop willing to do motorcycle gel inserts if you supply the insert. There are numerous suppliers selling inserts, however I have settled on just one. Not only is it reasonably priced, it will not deform under pressure. However be forewarned that all gel seats will absorb and retain heat from direct sun light. https://shocktec.com/product/motorcycle-seat-insert-shocktec/

To minimize hot seat syndrome the attached product will help.

The original 2008 Fuoco saddle/seat that i have says it's a gel one but there hard and uncomfy and not helped by the riding position . Do what i did and modify it yourself until you get a seat form that your happy with then get it recovered by someone who recovers bike seats for a living and who cares about what there customer wants. Also i've tried a gel insert and i found with mine your bum doe's seem to get warm.
