Modern Vespa

Trying out a new cup holder. It's bolted to a replacement knee pad (I keep the originals uncut). Folds down, and the little arms expand. Bigger drinks I would worry about it holding well enough, so I've considered heat-shrinking some paracord to them and using a spring toggle to cinch down on it. We'll see. I don't drink while riding, it's more for getting a fountain drink to and from somewhere. Yard sale price stickers work great to stop it from splashing out the straw hole in transit, as well.

Looks great, just needs an extra long drinking straw.

A long silicone rubber tube should do the trick.

Spiffy-clean installation, but wouldn't one want the drink under the Left handlebar. Otherwise you slow down abruptly every time you take a sip... I see the 12V outlet blocking the opposite knee pad. Switcheroo?

I'd need to run a bunch of extra cable, plus find something that would fit around the coolant tank, plus get a longer usb because my phone or other devices will generally be on the left. Plus, it's more for drink transport than drink availability.

I would LOVE to have one of these! Agreed though, on the left knee pad and not the right one....

Honestly it probably cost around $25 between parts and shipping the kneepad from scooterwest. Maybe $26 after factoring in the short machine screws and nuts.

I may have a cupholder, but at least you can probably but both heels on the ground.

That I can And thank god for Vespa GTS and extra knee space, on my PX I was constantly hitting top of the glovebox.

I have the same piece, but it's attached with 3M VHB tape and hasn't come off in three years of light usage. However, on my S150, poor road quality HAS thrown the occasional empty or nearly-empty vessel out onto the road!

Thanks for sharing Trenchleton. I have an extra left knee pad that I misaligned a hole for a USB outlet. Now I can have a backup left knee pad in case I anticipate a tailgate party. 😁

You can buy those holders at pretty much any marine store. I had a couple on my Boston Whaler Montauk, a very hard pounding boat. Never lost a drink.

I have similar idea on my Vespa but adding a mat.

Interesting floor rack. Can see the wider bars is more functional than the usual design.

It wouldn't work for me though, with size 13 (46) footwear. This would drive me bonkers
