Where is the fuel pump relay on a 08 250. I searched everywhere in the service manual to no avail. Second question is would my fuel pump replacement still be covered under that recall this many years past. Now that it's getting cool here in North Florida it's time to get on this repair.

It's just the screen and the cover off to check the relays.
I optimistically hoped that it was the relay on my 250,'cos the alternative was a floor full of plastic bits. It was the fuel pump. Piaggio's build method, I soon found out. was to put the engine and fuel tank in first and then assemble screeds of plastic around it...with different screws just to make things interesting. One good point was finding a pump supplier (in USA) that was a quarter of the cost of OEM. Great fuel pressure now. Good luck. |
Thanks guys I found the relays. With the front screen off and all relays in place I turned on the ignition and I got a steady beeeeeeeeeeep. There must be some type of switch in there telling the scooter the screen is off or something. Anyone had to deal with this?
