Hi All,
just had my speedometer dial act all wonky on me.
I'm used to the mechanical cable speedometers (pre-2015), and I'm not surely exactly how the newer "electronic sensor" speedometers work.
Curious if someone could guide me in the right direction on what to check or if anyone else has had this issue?

Probably dead. The needle or needle's "stepper" motor looks like it's gone out sync...

Yeah, seen this a time or two on several different brands of bike. Not on a Vespa up till now. However, I disconnected the battery on a Burgman that had this trouble and left it disconnected for over an hour. What that did was reset the ECU. After connecting up again the Speedo was fine. No more issues. It worked on a Triumph motorcycle too. But failed to work on a Yamaha xmax. So it's worth a try before doing anything else. If it doesn't work the speedo head unit may have a poorly fitted connector or, perhaps some corrosion on one pin, or the Speedo is faulty.

Just one other point, has any work been carried out on the bike prior to this or recently?
