Hi all! I recently bought a used Givi monolock that came with this mounting rack: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/givi-monolock-monokey-top-case-plates?gclid=Cj0KCQiAhMOMBhDhARIsAPVml-HbYyYIf4-G58hSU8wjkIbisby65ku17r4vJQ-Gvre7x4p1Sr63MSoaAn9gEALw_wcB. I have a standard luggage rack on my Vespa GTS 250 (https://www.vespa.com/en_EN/accessories/vehicle-accessories/racks/gts-rear-luggage-carrier-chrome-606525m/), but this plate doesn't fit it at all. I've seen photos of some Vespas with the same rack and a Givi topcase installed so I'm not sure what I'm missing. Any advice appreciated!

Welcome to MV, scooterbk21!

I wish I could help but someone here will probably be by with suggestions soon. In the meantime, post a few pics of your scooter and/or of the fitment problem your having. Photos are like cat-nip to the folks around here, and are a surefire way to draw attention to your request. Razz emoticon

The universal-monokey adapter plate would be better suited for the flip down rack .
I used zip ties to hold the rack down .

+1 on that E251. But that's for the less expensive MonoKey format. OP has the more expensive MonoLock format, apparently. Or vice versa. I forget which is which, but they are different.

As to keeping the rack down, I reversed the springs. Nerd emoticon

Look for a GIVI Z113C mounting plate, that should work (*).

This is not intended as a promise of fitment. Any user of this information must verify their own scooter-to-topcase compatibility. Laughing emoticon

Take a hacksaw to it to make it flat, use some aluminum bar and bolts to hold it down. No way any of those Givi adapters will fit the rack without some modification.

I have the GIVI universal plate on my GTS, and it required no such modification. It comes with clamps and the rest of the hardware you need for a clean (but to some, ugly) install.

Call Givi for proper mounting plate. I'd give you a number but you didn't list your location.

That mounting plate you have is the second part of a bike specific two-part mounting set. It's usually part of a two part set with steel mounting plates for the back. These are usually for a bigger bike like a Burgman or Yamaha Majesty.

My husband did the same, no mods needed.
