Modern Vespa

Hi seemed to be some scraping noise coming from rear wheel. I thought it was just brake pads need changing but checked wheel and seems excessive movement. Guessing needs new bearing fitted?

I follow one rule: if you suspect a bearing, change it. In case of rear wheel it is a bit worse because I'd change both bearings, the right one at the exhaust bracket and the left one at the reduction unit.

Straight forward job? Have changed wheels bearings on proper bike before

You might want to check all of the swing arm nuts and bolts and the axle nut first.

All sorted..right bearing was knackered..just as well as looks more difficult to get to other one

Well, the left one works in gear oil. So it should last much longer than the right one
