Sick of the hard start in the morning and the constant dance of the engine light - the evap system's gotta go. I know it's been detailed other places, and I'm like 85% sure, but I trend towards anxiety and am hoping someone could confirm this for me.
EDIT: In the interest of forum etiquette, I should note that I've gone over the places in the forum where it's detailed several times, but none of the photos are quite like mine.

Perhaps a wiki post should be created for this mod. I notice there's one for the LX150, but I haven't seen one for the GTS.

Not sure which hose is which in your picture but I think you have it right. The hose that goes to the intake manifold it the one you plug. If you are not sure start the scooter and put your finger over the end of the hose. The one to the intake manifold will have suction.

Don't forget to remove the rollover valve on the hose that goes to the gas tank.

If I replace the hose coming from the filler neck, won't that be cutting out the rollover as well? It's all bolted under that left cowl, innit?

Have about 3k on the HPE after removal and routing the lines, best decision I made was to pull that out and trash it

Also, once you take off the black piece on top of the fuel tank and pull out the canister, very clear what lines are attached so no worries there on which to cut, cap and re-route

Yes it's attached under that left side and you'll see it when you pull out the canister - I don't think it's worth keeping in my opinion, but I guess you could detach and reconnect to the overflow tube

I plan to detach the hose well ahead of it, just wanted to make sure there wasn't a piece to the puzzle I hadn't seen yet. Honestly I intend to just leave the junk there unconnected - faster and more convenient.

Yeah shouldn't be a problem. I only physically removed mine because it was easy to get to on an MP3. If it wasn't I wouldn't have bothered.

Well, folks, it's done. Thanks for input from everyone.

Took it on the freeway for a minute at WOT and around the block. Not necessarily extra pep but no troubles either. Wish me luck that the contemptible CEL remains off this time.

Prognosis? Did the removal / Mod fix the issue you were having on the light popping on?

Yes, my question as well. In the end, did it really make much difference?

To be honest, I'm not sure if it's solved it yet! I had the P0505 code pop up one more time, but I very shortly after had to park it until the snow and ice is cleared.
