We are all well aware of the wonderfully ridiculous detail CM22 has shared in his own sidecar thread.
Mods and admin have kicked around the idea of awarding him the MV Documentarista before, but due to the extent and breadth of the 75+ pages (How long will it actually go? I'll take the over on 150)... we haven't yet pulled the trigger. However, his recent reply to this thread:
Vintage Vespa Side Car Help tipped the scales and made it an easy call.

Helping another forum member(s) with in-depth, detailed, and well researched info is the spirit of the award. Charlienman22 knocked it out of the park with his reply.

So, without any further yammering, the MV Admin and mods are happy to award Ned the MV Documentarista award.

the academy would like to recognize...

Well done and well deserved sir. Raise a glass mobsters.

It's an epic read. Even as a newb, I have learned a lot, even though I don't understand a lot of it.

Congrations, CM2!

Ironic - as you were typing - I was just in the garage melting a crankshaft - like Cristine Lahti at the Golden Globes.
Which - I suppose - makes you Robbin Williams.
(look it up...)

Equally ironic - I've been working on my own awards list.
Intended for Xmas.
Inspired by Vintage Red Mathew's gift giving.
Only less harmless and with considerably more edge.
Trust me.
It's coming.
🙂

The third irony - everything comes in threes - is that my thread, of course, isn't really about sidecars.
Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone.

Ya'll are kind.
I am flattered.
love this forum.

Thanks gents.
I'm of course pleased to be recognized for my coffee making skills with this award.
My thread is more like a residency in Vegas - which I suppose perhaps makes me Celine Dion.
Craig has his own long running act down the strip (Thunder from down under?)
Takes a Village, People.

Got a question for SoCalguy and CM22: Now that you guys have earned this award, do we have to address you both as Professor?

i'm waiting for qascooter to earn the "apple crisp" award. It involves Scott providing all of us here with a sample. As long as he doesn't go too detailed into his recipe. I probably won't understand about the lean angle of plealing the skin of an apple or the port windows of an apple core anyhow.

cheers to Charlieman!

Oh man, you're killin me

Actually, I'll gladly share, but you gotta come visit. Apple Crisp doesn't mail well.

And I won't boggle y'all with the recipe, just know I use maple syrup instead of brown sugar

Oh, and the BEST apple crisp (or banana bread) is the stuff I don't have to make! Ha!

Much applause for this well-deserved award I TOTALLY understand most* of Charlieman22's epic thread, but I usually just read it for the wise-ass humor, of which there is plenty.

*like the words above, across, after, at, around, before, behind,
below, beside, between, by, down, during, for, from, in, inside, onto, of, off, on, out, through, to, under, up, with.....

I mean, c'mon, that's MOST of the words in his thread....

Serious congrats, CM22!!!
