It's best you didn't. Leaving a Vespa on it's side for more than a few moments = petrol/oil/battery acid all potentially going into the wrong places.

Like many others, I really appreciate you sharing your
Down Under world.

I kind of wish others would do the same for their countries.

You really need to be out riding solo so you can stop and
capture the scenery. I mostly group ride and seem to miss
the countryside shots - mostly shots of the other riders.

Selfishly, don't stop any time soon.

Yep. I do the same. When a motorcyclist comes up behind me I let him pass, then I sit on his tail just to tease him.

incase anyone wonders what happens to my tires with this sorta riding, here's my rear after 7,900km (4910mi). I normally change at about 7,500km (4660mi)

Sore bum after this 560km day trip

I ride hard and get about the same but the compound in CitiGrip2 runs about 1500mi further and would do well in the wet conditions you occasionally face.
Maybe for your rides a scooter with larger wheels would be better. See Piaggio Beverly with 16" front and 14" rear. My son and I have one.

I think it's a bit sucky that the ferry now leaves from geelong not melbourne. aarrggh, that's 72km freeway ride in each direction and when they kicked me off the boat at 6am and it was still cold and dark and I was very sleep deprived that's the last thing I want. used to be only 9km from home
