There is an older topic about footpeg brackets for Piaggio MP3.
These are sold out, i know but….
Maybey someone has technical drawing to make these brackets as DIY.
I own a LT so there is a brake pedal on the right side.
Can someone help me please?

For now i am trying to make them myself.
I have made 2 molds/stencils of thin sheets of metal.
Then i ask a company, who is a bussiness client of me, to copy them in stainless steel.
They have a waterjet cutting machine and will try to cut out these in one piece and bend it so we don't have to weld it.
I think about 3 mm thick stainless steel.
When that is done i buy the footpegs to screw on.
I don't know which type yet….

My "selfmade" brackets are ready!

I have made a stencil with thin metal sheet and copy this to 4 mm stainless steel.

A client of me, who runs a factory in stainless steel has cut this out on his waterjet in 1 piece and than bended it to the correct round angle and the side piece to mount the steps on later.

On the right side i made a cut out for the brake pedal because i have a LT model.

Later i drilled the holes.

I think it worked out perfect.

Nice work. Did you put some kind of rubber bumper on the back side of the peg mount arm?

No, not yet.

Next time when it is not so cold in the garage i will do so for 2 reasons:

1: Against vibration
2: because it is Stainless Steel on to Aluminum "floorboards" of the MP3.

(Stainless Steel and Aluminum can cause a chemical reaction when put together on longer terms.)

Very Nice
Cut a one inch triangles off the corners too, which can catch your pants cuff
I would smooth all the edges with a flapper wheel, leaving the flat surfaces alone

Damn - almost like old times with Sticky, OAD and Luthorhuss.
I was thinking about Rick (Fuzzy) and Georgia Girl the other day.
What's this Vogel y'all speaking of? If it's a Gathering I might have to tool over on the Moto Guzzi.

Question. What are the foot plates getting screwed into? Is there a screw hole under the rubber?

Yes, but what you see at those pics are stock metal floor mats.

since your profile has you for a 250 here is what yours will be like

the rubber floormatt can just pop off , under neath you will find screws in the positions of the posters brackets location, you can remove those screws and make your own brackets then source new slightly longer screws to hold them.
