Came into possession of a 1971 Vespa sometime ago. I don't know to much about them, but learning more as I go. ID# on frame under motor is CDEBLE 07349 with a bajaj 65 in it.

So the info that I'm collecting tells me this was made in India?

If I'm correct where would the best place be to look for parts?

Before you do anything, post a location and a picture.

1- there may be somebody in your backyard that can help you out.

2- we can probably tell you what it is and where you can get what you need, or, more importantly, if it's dangerous junk that you should just move on from.

I guess I should have added some commentary? There is a spare tire seen in photo that mounts at the feet. You can see bracket in one photo. It also has a soft cover to it. Head light and tail lights where broke as well as some minor damage to right side. It does start and run fine. I'm currently getting the wiring for headlight and tail light fixed as well as wiring for horn was disconnected. Once this is complete I'll post a vid of it fully running. Thank You Sean

Looks like a decent ride and definitely looks like a Bajaj engine. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I just don't know much about them. Scooter Mercato can help you out with parts and the crew on here can help with solutions. Welcome!

Under the seat are two holes one with cap is for 2-stroke? what's the other opening for? I can not find anything that shows what this is for. The previous owner had no clue because he never started it. He drained all fluids out of it and put it in a restaurant as a display.

First hole with the cap is for fuel, your gasoline/2-stroke oil pre-mix.

Second hole is air intake for the engine. Black flex snorkel on the airbox attaches to the frame and this is where the air gets into the frame.

Some Bajaj/Genuine scooters came with a 'pre-filter' that screwed into a white plastic bracket at the air intake. It looks like screen material on the sides of the inside of that white bit. It usually unscrews out for easy cleaning.

Vespas did not come with a 'pre-filter' there.

PS, is that a GT750 water-buffalo in the background??

Awesome, yes it is a fine screen mesh. Almost seem like something to filter fuel. Don't worry I didn't pour anything in it. I did look down in there and saw it went into the frame area. But I wasn't able to find any info on it. I did get 2-stroke fuel in it got it running. Just have not moved it yet. Yes, that is a 1974 Suzuki GT750 Le Mans 3 cylinder 2 stroke aka 'Water Buffalo'. Another project that will take a lot more time. It came fully dressed which not to many did from factory. I have everything with it. only damage is time. I did get it running long enough to get all gaskets and seal wet and blow them out. Once I'm done with the Vespa the GT is next. Any advise on it feel free. Thx

I'm putting this Vespa up for sale if anyone is interested. I have replaced some minor items and did get it running. However it wouldn't shut off. I cut fuel off and let slowly die. Most of the fluids after that have drained from it. I'm assuming O-rings and gaskets will need to be replaced. Minor rebuild? If anyone is interested hit me up. I'm looking $500.00 as is. Shipping if need will be up to buyer. I'm currently in Fort Lauderdale 33309. I do have title in hand. Any question I will try to answer best I can. I did plan on keeping but plans change and now I'm moving.
