Hi all, i've just bought my 1st MP3, what a great machine it is! Much nicer to ride around London than my CB650R.

My only niggle so far is the comfort. I'm 6'2" and it feels fairly cramped. Ideally i'd like to sit back a few inches but my sea (2012 model) has a support/back rest (i've attached a picture of the same).

Is there anyway of removing that back piece without damaging the seat? Or does anyone have any other ideas to creste a bit more room? I rarely have a pillion so happy to take space from the back part!

The seat breaks in around 2000 miles in the saddle. I am 6'2" and driving more than an hour was almost impossible. Piaggio sells a seat upgrade, but at our height you may be looking for a wind screen next. It starts to add up.

I have heard the recommendation on these forums to purchase a good piece of memory seat foam gel and have an upholsterer amend the current seat. My only concern is I wouldn't want to get any taller in the saddle.

What does the underside of the seat look like?
There may be some thicker strings tying the buttstop down
On my 2020 the passenger buttstop is bolted down & can be removed, leaving four 1/2 inch holes the could be plugged

Thanks for the replies. Mine had 3 bolts underneath the butt stop so I've taken it off. Will test this week and see if it's any better! What seat upgrade do you recommend for taller riders?

I'm 6'1" 32" inseam, I have to buy tall shirts
The seat mod will probably be a big step forward

Switching to a tall givi windscreen, moved the turbulent wind to the top of my head

Loosen the top screw & tighten the bottom on the brake levers to lower them slightly to accommodate long fingers
