Gaby was in need of a scooter trip, and organized a good big 530 km run for us.
With a departure from Bayonne at 07:30 at night with a good wet fog and a temperature of 7 or 8 degrees.
Time to drink a coffee and eat the holy CHOCOLATINE, and the first ascent, the Col d´Aubisque. To come back down, the magnificent Col de Soulor, closed but not enough ... Virolos to Lac de Payolle, to spend the night in the refuge, lost in the middle of the Néouvielle massif.
A small aperitif at the edge of the lake, a garbure, a few glasses and in bed.
When you wake up, -4 degrees, but the scoots take off to descend the Col d'Aspin and reach the spa to soak up the sun in the hot-water outdoor pools. A small stop for lunch in the Aure valley and farewell to friends, return to Bayonne by less winding paths...
