you can't as that is a back rest for a 250/400 or the new style 500's.

thats the OEM backrest for the old 500 Touring isn't it. Certainly looks like it!

Advertise for one on MV, as anybody who fitted the factory rack & top box had to take that piece off. Otherwise your stuck paying OEM parts prices for one.
