Modern Vespa

We've gotten a couple of complaints recently regarding packages that appear to have been bitten, chewed, mauled or otherwise attacked by some sort of animal. Our latest addition to the team, Maggie Chienne, pictured here on the job guarding packaging materials, has assured me that there have not been any attacks on our shipments by any sort of animal. She claims UPS and the Post Office have recently switched over to new package handling machines that mimic the bite of a large dog, and repeatedly trying to sort packages can make the corners and seams appear that they were chewed on, again, by a large dog.

my package arrived (promptly I might add!) with no signs of damage.

the same can't be said for what befell it once in the house. the land bats gave it the business once it reached their sovereign air space.

(the cable contained within is fine though)

Sigh…y'know, we all go on about the state of our packages, and I have to say, after a certain amount of time, nobody cares about the visual state of your package, only how well…

Roommate recently ordered a large inverter. The company was out of stock, but decided to swap in the next model up. It didn't come with a specific cable the other one would have, so he had to order it later, separately. He opened the inverter to inspect it, but kept the box on the slight chance he wanted to return it once he could test it with the cable.

Mister Toofers is the chief box and bag manager here. His 15 pounds of ginger fluff and muscle decided that box isn't leaving the house intact. The cardboard threat has been thoroughly neutralized. Numerous times.

It's obvious she's doing rigorous testing on parcel standards.

She needs to be put in charge of your Packaging Quality Control with appropriate doggy treat renumeration for her important position within the company.

We have three cats who inspect all the boxes that come into the house, before and after they are opened, inside and out.

They have even opened a few of them for us.

They don't test them to failure, though.

Your Canine Packaging Quality Control Associate is likely due for promotion and a raise.

Seriously though, I've had plenty of packages arrive from all manner of vendors and shippers in less than stellar shape on the outside with no issue on the inside. And conversely, I've had a select few arrive with no visible damage on the outside, only to discover damaged/destroyed goods on the inside.
