so this is not much of a post, but I enjoyed it so here goes. I have a 2012 Vespa 300 super. Every year or two, I feel I need to do something special for my Vespa. I have put on front crash bars and carrying platform. I have replaced all the lights, except the headlight, with LED's. I put in a 12 V charger. I put in a Vespa named chrome floorboard that will carry a coffee cup and allow me to bungi cord packages etc to it. I have a full OEM windshield and an OEM top box. I replaced the horn with one loud enough to get attention. So today I bought and attached the OEM rear crash bars in chrome and I have to say they look awesome. I am very happy but not sure what my next gift to my Vespa should be? I have looked at the aftermarket exhausts and I am not sure that it is worth the expense. I have looked at a front fender chrome bar, and I have considered replacing the headlight with an LED. Not sure what else, any suggestions?

anyways be happy, be safe, and have a great holiday season.

Sounds like you're into cosmetic mods/accessories more than performance upgrades. How about a custom seat cover from Cheeky Seats ( or someplace similar)?

Photos! Photos or it never happened.

This sounds like a really nice ride, but without pictures it could all be a fallacy.

Sounds like you've done quite a bit to your ride. I did a lot of these as well, had a lot of fun and enjoyed it.

I would highly recommend upgrading the headlight to a dedicated projector beam unit. I think it looks good, but that is subjective. It's fairly easy to install, and you sound pretty handy. Splitting the headset is the toughest part. But the improvement in light output is tremendous, especially if you do any riding in the dark or close to sunset/sunrise. Pricey, but well worth it.

As for aftermarket exhausts, I have a PM Tuning on my GTS. It provides a very slight performance gain in the mid-range. But it also shaves quite a bit of weight. Additionally, it eliminates the need for exhaust gaskets, which can be problematic for the OEM and a lot of aftermarket exhausts still need them. I also like the aesthetics of the PM Tuning, but that is, again, subjective. My PM Tuning exhaust has also been very reliable, but needed to be repacked after about 20K miles as it was getting pretty loud.

I also had really good luck with my seat cover from Cheeky Seats. Very well made, I had mine on the Vespa for 25K miles, and it still looks great. They can also do a cover for your back rest on the topcase to match. Literally just slips over seat and tightened with a drawcord.

Please share pics, we love to see what folks have done to their scoots.

Sounds like you're enjoying yourself. After buying my used Vespa, I planned to remove the crashbars to simplify the scooter but saw how scraped they were from preserving the nice bodywork. They work!

If you are happy with the ride and performance than why change it ?

Do the esthetic- convenience- visibility mods you like!!

Complete the look with the front fender protector .
front fog lights to the front rack or crash bars,
front mudguard fender extender

the rack for the oem top case from classic racks looks pretty sweet.
chrome or CNC bag hook
cnc side grills
there is no end to farkles and bling you can add to your ride!!

However it is incumbent on you to post pictures of your ride !!!!

Thanks very much. Unfortunately, that scooter was crashed and totaled on Day 4 of Cannonball. It doesn't look so bad here, but it was bent pretty badly.

thanks I do love it. Today I went on a ride with a friend of mine who has a Harley(we do this weekly). We often start our ride at a deli in north Scottsdale, which we did today. They have a great outdoor area which in our current situation is nice and safe. The owner came out and was so admiring my Vespa, he had a similar scooter in his youth and got a kick out of seeing mine. Usually my friend with the Harley gets all the accolades but today it was me, very nice. Hope all have a HAPPY and SAFE Holiday season
