I would be interested in doing a blind test on a few scooters. Where one time the wheels were balanced with the Marc Parnes balancer then those weights removed and machine balanced to see how many if any could tell the difference.
I have to wonder if the narrowness of scooter rims might make the method of balance less important than say a car with rims and tires several times wider? |

I can see on the rims of my BV that there are these small balancing weights on both sides of the rims, front and rear, at different locations. These weights were there when I bought the scooter, secondhand. But it points to me as been dynamically balanced. No vibrations at all between standstill and top speed. So the wheels are very well balanced. Maybe next month or so I will have my rear tyre replaced. It is close to the wear nubs. I will go to a local tyre center. Did work for me before and did a good job. But on the cars not on the scooter. See what they say. |

I'm spoiled living near a chain MC tire store, 8 Ball Tire, that works like a car tire shop but with a fancy waiting room. They clean the wheels, mount new rubber and balance it while you play pool or watch moto videos. You can ride in or bring the wheels.
Seems like a good business model for warm climates. There's one in Florida. |

check the amount of weights on this wheel!
I reckon it would have been horrible without those weights |
