Got my body kit for the S150 (LX150 kit) in hopes that it would be a bolt on - it is not. Time to bust out the Dremel and go custom as I wanted to have a lockable glovebox. Any past experiences? |

All holes lines up except key cylinder. I played with it and other body lines all align at 99%...
Im thinking of making the key hole bigger and fabricating some cover or cutting out the plastic hole and moving over and filling gap with epoxy/bondo...and spray paint of vinyl wrap over it...I presume glovebox will not work with the key either so I fab out some clasp lock (not sure yet). This is a budget build since I got it cheap so I think it will get custom very soon lol |

besides that key hole all are of decent quality. paint is not 100% but I don't care at this is budget build so I can experiment a bit... (other parts that came in the kit below for ref)

What's missing? *tounge planted firmly in cheek* it appears as though the RH side isn't fully seated into the leg shield beading and the the assembly is gapped off at the floor board which would kind of track there and point to needing some manhandling to get it all together. without being there and putting eyes on it, it's a a little hard to tell. |

I did try with 4 hands and still no fit. Need to pickup some M5s and do a proper bolt down but so far no win on this...its either than LX and S have diff locations for keys? or it is a custom Taiwan mold that accounts for humidity effects n plastic
Still waiting on spedo cable and other misc details for the hinge setup before I brute force this one. Plus floorboard and back shield came in damaged from SIP so will see how this moves forward Side question: looked for graphics and nothin so far ... grabbed electrical tape and boom - gains of 4hp so far LOL greasy125 wrote: you mean besides the glovebox door? *tounge planted firmly in cheek* it appears as though the RH side isn't fully seated into the leg shield beading and the the assembly is gapped off at the floor board which would kind of track there and point to needing some manhandling to get it all together. without being there and putting eyes on it, it's a a little hard to tell. |

Probably a crap part. Frame is the same for LX and S and all parts are interchangeable. Have done two conversions but with original parts. They were a direct fit…

Better not - its welded to the column; at the end of the day this is a quick down and dirty build. If not 100 aligned I don't care. Will make it as good as I can.

upon further review with fresh eyes, I'm seeing what motovista eluded to. yeah, that's gonna be fun to put together and make fit properly.
good luck! |
