I was just watching Lake Placid two days ago and laughing my ass off at how genius she was.

We lost a beautiful example of humanity today.

R.I.P. Betty White.
I only watched her last week when she was talking about plans to make a movie about her life this year.

Never heard negative things from her; will be missed greatly.

This really is a bad news... Not the way I wanted to start 2022 day 1 while having breakfast...

Nonetheless, I'm extremely thankful for what Betty gave us both on the screen and in her private life...

I was lucky enough to get to go to the taping of her last interview with Craig Ferguson, a while back.

I can't recall any specific lines now. But she went way over time, and... well, it was Betty White, so they didn't try to stop her. Craig himself was literally in tears with laughter more than once, and borderline pissed his pants. Those of us in the audience could barely even breathe at times, she was just so quick and sharp witted. Jeffrey Peterson wasn't able to keep up, either.

When I watched the show that night, they'd cut out probably at least a good two thirds of her interview. There was just no way they could even attempt to try and censor what came out of her mouth without losing context, or edit Craig desperately trying to compose himself (while Betty just sat there with that mischievous faux-innocent look she did so well).

I feel honored I was able to briefly share her presence.

Betty White never played any characters.
She just played Betty White and the role suited the context.
She will live on for as long as there is footage of her to watch.
