Rain and cold - but best forecast of the coming week, so off we go at 5:30AM.
(my only concern - I need to find a better water proofing for my heated leather gloves)



Rolling down the driveway...looked down, "OK dumby you're running on empty!"
One bar remaining.
So, hit the Sunoco station for some Top Tier....could'a ruined my night vision here!....(but kept one eye closed - old 'Nam trick when they're dropping flares)



Yeah - it is raining.








Got that out of my system....heading home after a nice coffee on the Group W Bench.






Nearly back into the city, not 2 mins after thinking to myself, "yeah - didn't think so...too wet and cold for deer" - a deer the size of a horse ran across in front of me - just 150 yrds from back onto city streets.

Deer are no more afraid of rain than i am.

I will not forget that.
Newish Angels and the 2017 Liberty have no problems dealing with rain.

Animals, including deer and racoons, continue to be one of my concerns about riding at night. And around here (western OR), I can assure you that rain does not slow them down one bit.

Also allegedly the true purpose of the pirate's eye patch!

Deer are terrifying. Big, fast, dumb, and random is no way to go through life, son.

I saw the title and had concerns for the worst. Good you just "saw" the deer. I am still waiting for the fender for my GTS from my deer encounter last July! Riding in the rain really sucks without a front fender.
