the problem that i'm having is i lost my other stator and bought a new one, I have no idea why i'm not getting a spark. i stuck to the original color code, when I rewired it, and I have no idea what it could be, except the new color code for the stator. the original had a capacitor, this one has a coil.

You might find some more help in the not so modern section.

The problem is the new stator is 12v and the old stator was 6V. That stator looks like one for a P200. That stator will not work with that coil. Will it work with a CDI...I don't know. I don't think that flywheel will work with at stator.

You need a CDI like this one.
Color coded. Yellow to engine ground and green wire from the wiring loom to the 2nd green connector.

on the stator side
1) Get the Ducati blue CDI, that will take care of red, green and white coming from the stator into the CDI (terminals are color coded)
2) The blue wire coming from the stator connect them to the two yellow. coming from the scooter harness(that will provide your power)
3) black wire coming from your stator to ground[b]

on the scooter harness
4) forget the green wire as that wire will be obsolete and not going to the coil anymore
5) Purple can be wired to the blue also
6) the current red wire that feeds the coil forget about it

With that stator yes. The CDI simplifies the whole ignition. Follow the steps that I wrote, it should work. I recently tested a few of my own stators on various frames and I had to sort it out. I tried a two 5 wire stators and two double yellow stators (7 wires), at the end of the day I got no issues making them work while I was testing various things. One of my stator had a bad support rivet and it was throwing my timing off because the whole magnet assy was lose in two axis. Another stator had bad rotten wiring so I resoldered new wires. I tried the stators on 3 frames with minimal wiring changes.

The green wire from the loom needs to be connected to the 2nd green connection on the CDI, next to the green wire from the stator.
That's the kill wire from both the key switch and kill button on the handlebar (if you still have one there).

^^ Yes, you are correct, I realized that, thanks for the correction. I got on the phone with him. He is going to the store right now to grab some terminals, wiring and he is going to continue. His P125X has a battery. It is basically identical to the P200E wiring harness except he has the purple wire and the P200 has the blue.

I tried to start it up this morning again and it just kept backfiring hard, i don't know if it has anything to do with the timing but i put its original as possible.

So I put the timing right thanks too scooterist and it worked fine, everything is hooked up. I connected the the original color code from the loom 2 yellow and the purple which is the headlight to the blue from the stator and it works perfect.

^^ I am very happy for you. Like I told you on the phone, what makes this forum great is sharing the before and after so that others can learn. If you are stuck again text me, we can use my P200 as a reference for the most part. The timing marking that I drew for you yesterday is based on my own 150 cc engines markings. Thanks for sharing, the wiring looks very neat and healthy. Scooter emoticon

Nicely soldered and shrunk. How far off was the timing ?

Two things you might want to pick up, going forward:

Rubber boot for the cdi.

12vac regulator for the purple wire to the headlight. Right now it's unregulated (higher) power direct from the stator.

BTW if you want to spiffy it up more water-tight like, you can get the bracket for a px along with the boot.

thank you Ray8 yesterday and today i manage to tighten up and put everything together the timing is still a little off, despite the fact that i did what scooterist told me to do i'm just going to line it up with the mark the engine has since really its not that far from the center, probably like 3 mm. but thank you i will have to get a new regulator too since I blew this one.

Do mean you blew your headlight? The stock rectifier/regulator behind the spare tire doesn't regulate your purple wire to it.

Turn signals work with ignition key on and engine off?

If so, this should be all you need:

If you got that stator to work you will need a AC/DC regulator for the lights and battery charging to work. The wiring connection at the regulator is different from the P diagram.

This regulator is a good alternative and has direction on how to hook it up. https://scooter-speed.com/voltage-regulator-bgm-12v-ac-dc-4-plug-dw-bgm6690/

Here's a visual of the regulator connection on page 11. https://issuu.com/jet200performance/docs/sales_leaflet_bgm6690

BTW, that stator wasn't designed for a p125x and may or may not line up to the case marks. Will need to verify timing with a timing light after finding top dead center.

Good luck!
