I saw that yesterday on a different link. It is crazy compact and yet too powerful. If they can do that even at a smaller scale I'd be happy. I just need a fraction of that power in a reasonable footprint. If more companies start doing this technology and pair it with 3D printing to create a compact electric motor with high output and low consumption it will be game over. Some brushless motors and stuff like that...

The Quark will melt after 20 seconds of full power,
Continuous duty about 1/3 power
It's gonna take some big wire
15-kwh is a powerwall sized battery
"The power output from the motor – of which there are three in the Gemera's powertrain – then settles in at 134 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. The plug-in hybrid's 800-volt 15-kWh battery will provide 900 kW of discharge and up to 200 kW of recharge."

I would like about 10% of all that at around 100kg [220#], might as well throw some pedals on for when the battery goes dead

by which point you are probably well beyond the speed limit

So...if we dial down the power output...can we trade it for battery efficiency and longer battery life?
