I don't know if conduit would work. I think it'd be too soft.

Bending the sheet metal was pretty easy for my repair. I don't know if I could flatten out a piece of tubing like that, though.

I needed about 25cm to cover (10inch ish) that was doable. The bend was the difficult part but if you need a straight piece its an easy solution.

been a while, but finished!!!

first Vespa I did really from A to Z:

full engine rebuild with souped up pinasco parts,
did my own body work and welding,
and painted it myself!

engine is 2 port acma (kept the original engine intact), upgraded with:
160cc alu pinasco
pinasco carb
pinasco clutch
12V conversion
pinasco crankshaft
bolag primary gear with stronger springs
Big rear wheel with SIP spacer

Sounds like you kept the heart and soul in the scooter with some modern day performance sounds like a great build and should be fun to have back on the road where it belongs. More pictures please.
