So I saw the BV400 today in silver. And it was parked next to my favorite scooter, a Liberty 150. My quick and useless impression on the BV.
Fit and finish was great. Really nicely executed.
Windshield stalks were robust! No flex from the windscreen.
It was cold so I didn't even consider a test ride.
Trunk was huge!
Still not 100% of the fob system.
Seat bump stop pushed me a tad bit forward.
Overall very impressed. I'm currently locking any unnecessary spending right now, may entertain a new house soon. But allow me to say what REALLY caught my eye! The dealer had a new NIU scooter! They said they weren't 100% sure if they were gonna carry them yet but if they did, wow!

I didn't take to "Beverly" at first, but it's grown on me.its plastered across my Faco windscreen. Most people just see the BV350 on the side.

Our new BV400S is on Clevelandmoto utube video being unboxed by UnkiePhil. Waited 9 months and worth it. Just wish there wasn't snow on the road. Looking forward to riding with my son on his new 400S and me on my 2021 BV350T.
Will have to change our avatar with the new scoots when weather improves.☺

RP Tech,

Great looking scoot. Good on you. Super photos.

I share your frustration - froze in here in Minnesota.

Someone please post a link or a heads-up when Robot gets around to the review.
I bet Robot is missing his old Beverly and will buy the demo model after he uses it in the how-to videos. Jeff always liked the bigger tires and highway speeds of the BV

For those of you wondering what BV means, I just told folks it was Big Vespa.

The stock windscreen even looks better on those 400's. Damn……. Can't garage two scooters, can't garage two scooters, can…..

Malossi just released their new Variator for the BV400. If you wonder what it does, ask everyone who put one on a BV350. There are quite a few on this forum.

My localish Piaggio dealer just got a Beverly 400 in silver. I might try to swing out there this Saturday and check it out. I'm celebrating my 25th year at my job, with a pretty big bonus! My wife said treat myself but I still love my Liberty and its extreme simplicity. I've always liked the BV series. But my intentions are to just look....

My stupid inner 30 year old was looking at used Honda VFR800 motorcycles. I just know in my heart that I won't really ride it much. I hate shifting, heat from the motor, throwing my leg over OR climbing like a monkey to get on it and finally, I have zero interest in sport bike speeds.
I grabbed a Yamaha MT07 a few years back. Crotch rocket fun with more upright stance. The torque is downright amazing. It's better at 75mph than the Vespa for sure if you find yourself on a highway. I may sell it and buy on old cruiser with half the proceeds. One never knows. The Vespa is great fun so far.

Exactly.

And then the model name is introduced in a region with bagage and it gets a connotation.

There was the example of the Chevrolet Nova. Nova is not an English word but refers to Latin for "new", unless in spanish speaking regions where it means "it does not go".
In English, it's an astronomical term that refers to the emergence of a new star. What's interesting is that Piaggio chose to change the name of the Liberty the first time they introduced it in the US, and it didn't quite catch on. Shows how little they knew about the American market.

I just got my Silver BV400, I love this bike! runs like a Yamaha Majesty with RPM and speed, I'm currently running the motor in (Run it hard) and this scooter has all the power you need for a daily highway or side road cruser. You should have seen all the metal bits at 130 miles, I rode the bike home from Vespa Of Naples FL to Apollo Beach FL. Over a 2 hr ride. Yet, yes I ran it hard safe after it warmed up well.
